Luciana was born in Rome by her parents. Luciana's dad was Manlio Paoluzzi who was an Italian army officer and her mother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was once one of Benito Mussolini's lover's wives. There is no information available on having siblings. Luciana was a student at an elementary school in the area before going to the Scientific Academy of Milan in 1955. Luciana was one of only two females in her class. Within two years she started her modeling career. Soon after, she was offered the chance to be a part of Three Coins in the Fountain when she was in Rome visiting a friend of her father. Brett Halsey is an actress who became her husband at first. The couple got married in the year 1960 and produced the film Return to the Peyton Palace. Luciana was given custody of the film when the couple split a few years after Charles became a baby. Between 1962 and 1970, Luciana dated Tony Athony an actor and producer who was greatly influenced by her performance in the movie Green Slime and based on his script and production of his own hybrid Spaghetti Western for which he was a bit of a hit.
